Message it. I can't tell if your refering to hks unit or apexi or both. I have heard a few different people complaining about the boost settings changing on the hks though. That is because it will keep automatically adjusting the ofset, hence changing the boost until you lock it. Turn the unit off. Make sure your car is either running or the key is in acc position. Press Mod and at same time toggle the back switch from SW to PO. Let go of the Mod button and push the toggle back to SW. To unlock it I believe you do the same thing but with the sbc button but check the manual to make sure.

btw an evc iv is kinda an ez boost with lcd display. They use the exact same stepper motor and it will function in manual mode. But the drawback of having an lcd screen is that you have to calibrate the offset (usually around 120 on the z) to have it read right.
